Liam got a chance to read the first book in a brand-new series, The Misadventures of Max Crumbly, which came out earlier this summer.
What's the book about?
The Misadventures of Max Crumbly: Locker Hero is about a boy named Max who wants to be a super hero. Max is new to his middle school because he was home schooled by his grandmother until Grade 7. Because he is new he always gets thrown into his locker by a bully named Thug.
Most of the story takes place in his locker where he is trapped and so he writes this diary inside the locker. One day he witnesses something that leads to an exciting adventure. You'll have to read the story to find out more!
Did you like the book, Liam?
I am starting middle school next year and I hope that I don't get thrown in my locker. Any kid who has started a new school or a new group will be able to relate to Max. I liked this book because there is a lot of humour and some action. My favourite part is the ending because it leaves you guessing and makes you want to read the next book. I would recommend this book to 8 to 10 year olds. I give it a rating of 7/10.
