Each and every May, we team up with our friends at NSERC (the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) to go on an amazing odyssey.
Running this year from May 6 to 21, this a two-week event that celebrates everything STEM. Here on OWLconnected, we'll be posting daily articles that explore science and engineering. And that's not all.
We're also helping to promote an awesome contest. And this year, the theme is experiments.
As in experiments that you get to do!
Let the Odyssey begin
To participate in Science Odyssey 2023, all you need to do is perform an experiment. Maybe you'll make your own glow stick, create your own invisible ink, or watch as colour moves through a leaf.
You can do your experiment solo, or with your family or friends. Then document your work by taking a photo or video of it, or writing us a note describing what you did.
It's that easy ... and that fun!
To see the entry form, as well as a list of possible experiments to try, visit our website. The deadline is May 30, 2023.
And, of course, as with any contest, there is a chance that you could win a prize! We've got some great ones this year. Here they are:
Exceptional experimenting!
Sound like fun? You bet!
To help give you a little inspiration for your entry, here's OWLconnected senior writer John taking about what he's doing for this year's Science Odyssey. (We hope he's ready to clean up a bit of a mess!)
