CONTEST/BOOK REVIEW: Guinness World Records 2020

OWLconnected reader Nate reviews the latest edition of this collection of incredible feats and bizarre achievements... and we're giving away two copies!
guinness world records

The Guinness World Records are home to every imaginable accomplishment known to humankind. The number of records set is far too many to fit in one book. But that doesn't stop the folks at Guinness from trying!

Every year, we look forward to the new edition of Guinness World Records and its collection of farthest, longest, highest, quickest, most outrageous records on the planet. This year, we asked OWLconnected reader Nate to review the 2020 volume. Take it away, Nate!

Nate's review

This year’s edition of Guinness World Records had things ranging from Mount Everest (tallest mountain) to the Sahara Desert (biggest desert). One of my personal favourites is fastest time to solve a Rubik’s cube on a pogo stick with a time of 24.13 seconds — I can’t even solve one side in that time!

I don’t know why some records exist, like fastest time to alphabetize the letters in a can of alphabet soup (3min, 21sec)… How and why??? Overall there is something for almost everyone in this awesome book. There is even Dude Perfect in it, so why wouldn’t you want this book?

  1. Jakob
My record would be longest time to be at 0% in a game of super smash bros. Ultimate
I’m more interested in the gamers’ edition though, because it gets more in depth of the topics I’m interested in

  2. I would like to set a record for “hardest person to wake up”. A feather, a sneeze, a horn, a bull in a China shop? How hard are you to wake up?
