Science Odyssey Contest Winners Announced

OWL and chickaDEE readers sent in their science projects for a chance to win
Science Odyssey The Science Odyssey Family Contest challenged kids (like you!) to send in snaps, videos, or letters describing their science activities.

You might have noticed call-outs to a special contest at the bottom of some of our recent posts (like this one and this one). OWL partnered with Science Odyssey to bring you an awesome contest with an awesome theme: science!

The idea was to document yourself doing three science projects and send them to us. Two grand-prize winners would get a year-long family pass to all of Canada's science centres (whoa!) and some cool tech prizes.

Ooooh, shiny...

The contest ended on May 31, and we had a random draw to choose our winners. Check out some of the winning projects below!

OWL grand-prize winner: Alex

From Alex's entry: "Alex observing how currents work using different temperatures of water and food colouring."

Science Odyssey
Hi, Alex!

chickaDEE grand-prize winner: Leo

From Leo's entry: "I went to look for bugs with my friend Zach on the rocks behind my house. We found two ladybugs and one flew away and we couldn't find the other one in a big pile of moss."

Science Odyssey
And hi, Leo!
