It's been about three months since the Canadian government began quarantine across the country to help in the fight against COVID-19.
It's been a unique time. From young people in school to adults in the workforce, we've all had to learn new ways of doing things. We've seen examples of DIY heroism, exciting innovations in science, and many thoughts on how our cities might change forever, even after quarantine ends.
Isolated, but not alone
Right now, much of the country is starting a slow return to normal. Which is wonderful news. But it is a slow, cautious return. During times like these, it's helpful to remember that though we're isolated, we're not alone.
Nova Scotian artist Briana Corr Scott's Little Islands video is about just that. This short stop-motion animation celebrates everything we've been doing to stay in touch with the people we love. Friends. Classmates. Family.
Watch this hopeful message below and remember to keep your own lights burning on your little islands. We can do this!
Wasn't that great? Do you have any art that you've made during quarantine that you'd like to share with us? We'd love to see it!
Please send a picture of it to us at: owlkids@owlkids.com
