Issue 122 looks ahead to National Indigenous Peoples Day

The eMag also looks at the unique job of surveying and the exciting new film Luca

Every two weeks we publish a new issue of our tablet and computer-friendly eMag, OWLconnected. It's free for OWL magazine subscribers!

Issue 122 has a really diverse collection of stories and we're thrilled about it. We go from the sea to the forest, cover STEM careers and sports, and recognize the important heritage of the original inhabitants of this land.

Ready to take a trip? The issue is out now, so let's go!

Indigenous Peoples Day

Monday, June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day. This is a time of celebration of the traditions and culture of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. There's a very good chance that there are events nearby you—but you can get a start by reading more about the day in the eMag!

Then we interview a very interesting person named Lee Repko. He is a surveyor and the star of OWL magazine's Cool Job feature in the Summer 2021 issue. In the magazine, he breaks down everything about his amazing STEM-based job. But he also talks about a very important issue, which we're showcasing in the eMag! In Issue 122, you can learn how Lee's job relates to Indigenous rights, and why his company is working with First Nations Peoples to get them on the frontlines of surveying!

And we're not done talking to interesting people! In this issue, we also speak to the director and producer of the brand new Disney/Pixar film Luca! Did you know that the story began with something that director Enrico Casarosa did as a little boy in Italy? What was it? Read the eMag to find out!

Add on a comic about being a sports fan and lots of content from readers like you and, well, like we said: It's a really diverse issue. If you're already a subscriber, you can click here to sign into the eMag right now!

If not, maybe it's time to take your OWL experience to a whole new level! Get ten print issues a year sent right to your door, plus over 24 issues of our exclusive eMag by subscribing right here.
