Celebrating women and activism in Issue 115

The newest issue of our eMag features International Women's Day and an interview with climate activist and author Naomi Klein
issue 115

Every two weeks, we publish a new issue of our tablet and computer-friendly eMag, OWLconnected. It's free for OWL magazine subscribers!

And what's that we hear? Why it's the sound of Issue 115 of the eMag arriving at our door! (Just kidding. The eMag makes no sound when it 'lands on your doorstep' because it's virtual. But we can pretend!)

This issue continues celebrating a big event that happened this Monday March 8—International Women's Day! We look at the theme of the day—#ChooseToChallenge—and what it means, before interviewing someone who has lived her life challenging things. Naomi Klein.

Talking with Naomi

issue 115

We're so excited that we get to speak to Naomi in this issue. For one, she is one of the world's foremost activists, addressing issues like the climate and the economy. But it's what she done recently that has really caught our attention—she wrote a kids book!

Called How To Change Everything, it is the ultimate guide on how young people can become involved in activism and create change. We spoke with Naomi about a range of topics. But that's not all in this issue.

For you gamers and Nintendo Switch lovers, we have a review of the new Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury game. The review was written by OWLconnected reader Tanisi and she certainly enjoyed the chance to preview the game. We also have an awesome video tutorial on making paper art with regular Owlkids Books illustrator Ashley Barron (you'll get to make a lily pad!). And to come full circle, take our quiz in honour of International Women's Day.

That's one jam-packed issue! If you're already a subscriber, you can click here to sign in to the eMag now.

If not, maybe it's time to take your OWL experience to new heights! Get ten print issues a year sent right to your door, plus over 24 issues of our exclusive eMag, by subscribing right here.
