November 8 is Indigenous Veterans Day, a time to honour the First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Peoples who have fought in the Canadian armed forces. For many years, the Indigenous contributions to overseas wars like World War II and the Korean War were overlooked on Remembrance Day (November 11). But as Indigenous Veterans Day has become more widespread, this is starting to change—join us as we highlight the day in this issue!
