Inspired by the novel Matilda by Roald Dahl, MATILDA THE MUSICAL is the winner of 70 international awards, including 15 for best musical. Pretty impressive! It's playing in Toronto right now to sold-out audiences. But one of our lucky readers got a chance to see the show—and we're giving you one, too. Read 10 year-old Olivia's review of the musical, and then enter the contest for a chance to win tickets!
My MATILDA THE MUSICAL Review
MATILDA THE MUSICAL is a production playing at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto. It is the story of a young girl who is very smart and loves books. But Matilda is not treated well because her parents and principal don't like children. So she goes to the library every day and tells great stories. Matilda discovers she has the power to stand up for what is right. The singing and dancing were amazing, but my favourite part was when the principal, Miss Trunchbull, swings a student around by her braids! I think other kids would love the show. MATILDA THE MUSICAL is magnificent!
